WOO, sweet AX!
I played it through my Mark V, (brought it back to guitar center to sound test as well as feel test) and compared it to a BFR they also had.
I like the larger frets, and I found that the neck seemed not as thin as the BFR. I liked the JPX with that little bit more of wood (i mean it might be the same, but just holding the neck at the nut, there seemed to be just the right amount of wood, where the BFR was thinner, or flatter feeling.
Now, my guess is this isnt a change for the JPX, as I've felt this on a std JP before as well. So is this something that occurs because the neck is hand sanded / finished... are they all a little different feeling?
Anyway the guitar sounded fantastic throught the amp, looked quite nice.
(saturday was actually a guitar store day, I must have played 15 different guitars at a few stores, trying to find the right neck)
The JPx is ahead for now... now if I can only get that in White sparkle!
