Recently bought a Boss BR1200 recorder, plus a POD computer interface & a Sony handycam.....amazing what can be achieved.......and good fun too. The purple SS goes nicely with the suit.

Now I know I'm no professional, and since I've done everything myself it exposes a lot of limitations....but how I wish al this stuff had been available when I was learning all those decades ago, it's so inspiring.

But one question for those more experienced.....how do you decide what constitutes a decent mix? To my ears this sounds great through headphones and quite good through monitor speakers. Through a PA it's awesome, pretty good through my home hi-fi but wretched on computer speakers...the bass & drums vanish.

Nice job Andy! Thanks for sharing. You really have to adjust the eq on your computer (whichever program you use for audio playback) to make the bass and drums come across like they should on computer speakers. Sounded just fine on mine, but I've got mine set bass heavy at all times.

Thanks.
Just the Windows media thing...I suspect it's the laptop speakers which are tiny & cheap....through headphones it's fine. I could always use extension speakers, but it's easier to put it through the hi-fi.
