I was jamming with some old friends last night. We are all late 40's and I'm heading for the big 50!

We were having a pint afterwards and wondered would we be still playing our JPs if we manage to get to 80 years old, will we still be rocking out or will be sat in our corner chairs strumming a 335.

Just an observation lol

Romania ...that's a country ...in Europe :))
:D I was thinking about the same yesterday after selling on friday my Suhr riot pedal to a guy 58 years old....with whom I had a very pleasant talk at the phone
and I remembered a friend I made on a local guitar forum....after few months of talks on the chat and mess he said something about his kids and nephew ...and I was surprised assuming that is younger or the same age (I am 32 now)
and he said : "haha, Paul I am 51 now, but you would not believe if I were telling that I feel honestly like 18, my wife says from time to time: Dan you are and adult for god sake , not in high school anymore" :)))
not to be understood that he is a junkie ...he works as a manager in a bank and playing guitar with friends in a band for a hobby :)

I hang in another private forum (password protected from anyone just dropping in) that's put together by someone that sells Blues guitar courses (won't name the instructor, even though he's great, because don't believe promotion is allowed here).

Anyways, there's about 2,000 registered users and a hundred or so guys that are really active - my point being the average age there is about 65. I'm 48 and one of the "kids" - we have several guys in their 80s.

I'll be honest, not a lot of EBMM guitars there - but when I've gotten together for the regularly organized in-person-jams my guitars are always WELL RECEIVED for their playability and tonal range.

So, I'm quite confident that when we reach codger-dom, we'll be playing what we play now! :)

I certainly hope so.

As a side story....A few years back I sold all my pointy guitars because I had no longer a chance to play with them. About six months ago I got an invite to perform at a local Metal Fest with our old thrash band. I played with these guys from 1990-1995. Almost 20 years later I'm going over our songs and I wishing I still had my RR1. Yesterday the owner of my RR1 called to let me know I can use it for the show if I want it. I think I'm sticking to my JPX-6 In Cardinal Red Sparkle. I'm 44.
