Please help me date this stingray

I am wanting to buy a Stingray 4 string bass. The person that I want to buy the bass from is telling me that the bass is only a year old. Howerver, I cannot find the color at the Ernie Ball Website. It is an Orangeglow Sparkle color with a maple fretboard and a matiching headstock. It has a white perloid pick guard and a 3 band EQ. The serial number is E23890. The bass is currently on Ebay. I am going nuts trying to date the bass. No one seems to know. Please help me if you can.

That serial places it around June/July 2001. As for the color, Gav, Jacko or Derek should be able to confirm that for you.

Yup, looks like a nice one, too. All the sparkle finishes have been discontinued, unfortunately.

BTW, used Stingrays such as that one sell all day long for 800-850. Don't go nuts. If you can get it for 850, that's not a BAD deal but it's not a GREAT deal, either.
