hi, please don't laugh about my english, it's not very good i know but i need help, it's very important.
after changing the original pickup to a bartolini replacement 2 years ago i want to put in the original pickup now to get the original stingray sound character and not such modified stuff you know.
the problem is, that i've forgotten the original cable setup. for notice: it's a stingray5. there are 4 cables out of the pickup. a white, a black, a yellow and a green one. in which order do i have to put them onto the electronicboard. i do know where the position is to connect the pickup but not in wich order? please, can somebody tell me how? i only need the correct order?
i hope you can help me. thanks alot.

Judging by the colour code of the wiring, it sounds like the earlier circuit. We'll soon find out.

While you're there, can you check the pic gallery on my web site. "chuck 3 river" emailed me to say his pics are blank. I can view them ok accross the pond here....

Cheers.

Jeah very coool, thank you all for answering me so quickly.

I opened my SR5 yesterday and try to compare the pictures you've given me with my electronic layout.
you've said my electronics seemed to be old but i think by looking it it's older. it's looks nearly but it isn't exactly the same. f.e. the plate layout differs from those of yours. there's no shield cable comming out of the pickup too, i think thats the reason for the ugly buzzy sound, playing in singlecoil mode. very strange.
i'll make some fotos of my layout this weekend and we can try to find out, what damn electronic it is. :)

repeately: a very big 'thank you' for helping me

Bartolini??

Thomas, Did you like the sound of the Bartolini? Can you give me some details of the sound. I'm very curious. Good luck on your transition back to the EB pickup. Also, your English is fine.
