We are on a road trip visiting a few Guitar Centers with Marty Albertson (ceo)
Dargie and Brian and Pops along with Gary Hanser (BC RicH and Kustom)

WE started in St Louis...Here is the view from my room

The first band we saw was Madina Lake..They were really good and had a constantly positive message..refreshing
They guitar player played a rw neck AL with Humbuckings

HEre is Gary and Brian having a blast

Marty resting for the next band

The next band Aiden was very heavy and not quite as positive a message Also played a rw al 2h no covers

Gary almost joining the moshpit

The stores in St Louis are very nice...(maybe we can get them to carry the guitars)

Ate a great BBQ lunch at Pappy's in St Louis Highly recommended! more later

Thanks for the pics. Looks like fun.

See if I can visit some GC shops as well when I'm in the US.
Are there any in Miami and Orlando?

OK day two
First off went to the Musicians Friends Distribution Center...700,000 feet of incredible systems 350 different motors operate this maze of conveyors for shipping

They amount of returns and the way they handle them is amazing some is for defective merch but most is buyers remorse or someone abusing the return policy...here is a days worth

There was one of our guitars hit the return stack right when we were talkint to the returns guy...we opened it up could find zero wrong with it...its from Sam in Chicago...(heheheh) we looked in the computer and he claimed a scratch in the top...when they got it and told him there wasnt a scratch he said the action was too low....funny it was a very nice guitar

Then visited the two KC area stores and went to Oklahoma Joes for BBQ (marty not waiting for us to start)

Then off to the Warped Tour and this is a short from the Hurley/Ernie Ball SLinky Stage of a english band called Tat...the lead singer guitarist has serious star power. She is great....

Then a great time at the Kansas City Royals game...had great seats here are Dargie Brian and Gary Hanser having fun....

Doesnt Gary look like he is having fun...

Long Day....

Thanks for sharing your trip with us BP.
I haven't been back to those parts in a long time. Did you go into/up the Arch in St. Louis? Kind of fun.

Wow - the Musician's Friend coliseum!!!! How cool is that!!!!

Other than the EBMM factory in SLO and the strings factory, THAT is the one place I would dream of going.

Hey BP, how about the next EBMM bash at the MF's distribution center??

More pic's!!!!!

Sounds like quite a busy trip. Thanks for sharing the photos along the way.

By the way, that Sam character sounds like quite an educated guy! :D

BP - Thanks for sharing; especially liked the shots of the MF warehouse. It's amazing the enormous amount of product they manage.

I thought that GC and MF had a no questions asked policy for returns. That's one of the selling points of these two retailers. Return it for any reason or no reason. Many people don't have the ability to try things out before they purchase them and so they buy from MF and try it out. If they don't like it, then they return the item. I think this actually helps their sales. I know that I feel more comfortable knowing that if I get something home and I find it just doesn't work for me that I can return it. I've only returned a couple of things to GC and never to MF.

It was a lame excuse by the guy returning the guitar though. But still, using the available return policy of MF, for any reason, I don't think is an abuse of their return policy. I would think it different if they order a whole PA system and use it for a big gig and then return it or something they never intended to actually keep. The difference being that they never intended to keep the item(s) and was just using MF as a free rental.
