An ad from Craigslist, seller based in West Hollywood, CA:
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/msg/118685032.html

An early EBMM SR (string mutes, metal battery cover, headstock truss rod hole) in what looks like trans. red. Several dings and some finish wear on the back "belly" contour. Pickguard is missing, too. I'unno maybe a good deal? If I had the cash, I would've definitely tried it out.

Are the early EBMM's supposed to be better than the current/later models? All I know is that I picked up a 97 SR4 in 9.0/9.5 condition w/non original case for $600.
