I had to go through all the red tape and hooplah of ordering at the local music store today; but based on the opinions and views I received on here and from reading at harmony-central.com I went ahead and started the motions to get my hands on a Rosewood ASS. I will be officially an owner-to-be on Wednesday, if everything goes according to plan.

I decided to trade in my Silhouette Special on it, because the maple fretboard isn't really my thing and I really want a three single coil version. I imagine I'll have one of those on order by Summer.

Man oh man, I hate this company and I can't stop thinking about the guitars that I want and will one day have. :D I have read that I should be expecting my DD Luke pretty soon as well. I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty much on the edge of my seat in anticipation.

Kudos BP, Dargin and all you other EBMM peeps.

Are you sure you want to let go of your sil spec? If I had the money, I would make you an offer but I don't think I can afford it at the moment...

Anyway, I'm sure the Rosewood ASS is an awesome guitar...

How I decided to finally let it go.

I spent about two weeks debating what to do about the Silhouette Special thing... I wanted a rosewood neck originally, because I just like it better. It came with maple. I wanted three single coils. It came HSS. I wanted some crazy color. It came with a relatively standard metallic grey doodad.

When all is said and done, it was a "settle for" as opposed to a "want want want" and I'm sure it will more than fulfill someone's "want want want" at some point. *ahem* J-Nick... I am hopefully getting my DD LUKE soon, which will fulfill all of my HSS needs. From that point, I'll have the Rosewood ASS for some humbucking jazzy/rocky needs. My next acquisition will be a SSS SS. That's a lot of s's. I will not settle because it shows up in the store one day. I will order one and wait the many months to receive it. It will be worth it.

Just so you know, Nick... there will be a used SS with a maple neck and a tremol-no at the Long and McQuade in Edmonton... I'm sure you can get it transferred out to a store near where you're at... payment plans solve the musicians cry of "I ain't got no dough!" ... just a tip. :D

When are you dumping it off? I fill follow up on this one just in case the stars align properly...:)

Oooh, sounds like someone's excited!

I am getting all the information about my RWASS tomorrow, so I expect that I'll be dropping off the SS later this week. I'll drop you a PM the moment I walk in the door from dropping off the guitar. I would MUCH rather see it go to a fellow lefty forumite than someone else that wouldn't covet it as much. Included in the PM will be a phone number to the store out here if you need it, and I'll even see if I can't get a price out of the guys when they figure things out.

As soon as I know you'll know. Bros before hos. Hahahahaha. :p
