This may sound like a silly question but, does Albert Lee play his HH model? I haven't seen him play it...
The "Albert Lee" type of guitar is just a body design at this point, not a direct endorser model. Like the Les Paul, the design is popular enough by itself that they don't really even need him to play them any more for marketing purposes.
I am saying that it is good enough to sell on it's own. AL does not necessarily need to play the HH model as much as EBMM just needed to release it in the first place to expand the design's appeal. Not sure I understand your point. It says 'Albert Lee' right on the headstock - meaning it is a direct endorser model. If you're just making the point that the shape is good enough to make it on it's own, then I get it...
