I've got a slight fret buzz problem with my E string. Just got my new Bongo and have adjusted the action about as high as I want to go with it. I've got D'Addario's round wounds .105 to .050 on it. I like bigger gauge strings anyway and thinking about going to the Power Slinkys with the .110 E string. I'm thinking that the larger gauge will have a higher tension which should cut down on the eliptical vibrating of the string and hopefully come up short of hitting additional frets thus eliminating the frett buzz. I'm also hoping that the bigger strings will fit the nut OK but can't imagine EB making stings that wont fit their bass. Is my theory right on this or is it just wishful thinking?
