Hi everyone, I'm in the process this week-end of putting together a CD of drum grooves , 4/4 , 3/4 , 7/8 all at various tempos (starting at 60bpm then up to 120) I've also got a few of them with 4 bars of 'tone' starting at a lo B and going up to a high Db so that all you can run scales chromatically up the neck(really good intonation stuff for the fretless among us)
anywho, if anyone would like a copy of said CD just PM me a mailing address and I'll get them out to you Tout de suite.

only stipulation..... if you find the CD has helped your playing then you must copy and give to as many bassists as you can!!!!! :p

Whoa, hey, yes! Count me in!

(Don't let it get out that I practice, though - I have my image to think of.)

Seriously, very cool idea. Don't forget to make a cheat sheet because otherwise I'll be trying to play in 11/32 the whole time.

PM on the way.

What a great idea. In fact, let me know if I can help. I work for a CD manufacturing company in Portland, Oregon and would be more than happy to make the CD's for you (free is a very good price). All we'll need is someone to design the custom label we'll print on the CD. Bovinehost???

Let's hop on that! An EBMM Forum disc!? I like that idea. Maybe if it flies, and anyone really likes the CD and what it gives thems, then send $15-$20 to the CLB Foundation?
I can't afford to mail out hundreds but I can afford a couple dozen or so.
... you guys rock!

Psychicpet - What a great idea!!! An EBMM Forum disc - I love it. And from the responses to your post, so do a lot of people. Now, who's going to start the spreadsheet?

It's Done!!

Dudes, it's 3:30am and I just finished the "Bass Bin III" CD [that's what I call them for my students, the name's just kinda stuck] It's got about 65-70min worth of loops(4/4 ,5/4,6/8) with and without chromatic piano (panned hard left) for fretless/upright players and also singing/interval drills plus a couple of original penned freak out grooves by yours truly :p
anywho, like I said I'll mail out these first few but the rest of us might want to wait until the end of next week to see if T-Bone can press a few more and if Lord Bongo comes through with graffix (it'll be alot prettier than mine) and possibly......if there's enough interest , maybe if we ship the discs to SLO/Indio , they might be better equipped($$) to ship them out to all the Forum members that want one and to donate to the CLBF.
anywho, off to fall asleep to some Mahavishnu and Mars Volta.... 7am comes early......................

Psychicpet - 3:30am? Oh to be young again. Let me know when the master is ready and I'll get you my address.

Lord Bongo - What say ye? Will the graphics have that distinct bovinian style?
