Pre-EB matching headstock StingRay

Anyone know what this is about??????? Never seen a Pre-EB with a MH.

At this point, I don't believe the headstock is original. Although the seller says it is, I'd need more convincing.

P.S. You'll also notice there appears to be no "TM" or encircled "R" on the headstock logo and the finish is showing through the words "Music Man".
