Just got one Old Sabre Bass, with so many modified including pickup, bridge and elects. And it doesn't have pickguard on it.

This has kinda different pickup hole from Current another MM basses.
Looks just alike OLP Bass's.
ErnieBall CS said he never seen any Pre EB without pickguard.

Please let me know if you have Pre EB bass and seen it without Pickguard before (of course, you might :) ).

and.....

As seen, it has weird guitar pickup for bridge one, and the bridge's Fender Vintage style. Also elec's off the normal Sabre.
Do you have any w old MM part stock ?

PS> yes, it sounds good though. :D

The pickup routes are correct. My old '78 Stingray and '79 Sabre were routed like that. The bridge pickup looks like a Stingray or Sabre guitar pickup. Must be an interesting sound.

Yes those are right. See, back then the solid colored pickguards (usually black) covered all the routing cavities, so it really didn't matter what it looked like. Then in the eighties when the clear pickguards came out, the cavities were make the same pattern as the pickups.

Thanks.

Thank you for words, HornetAMX, Caca de Kick.
Found that it's Early Pre EB style.
