Hi guys....

I have a 79 Ray, and while the action is "ok", the rod has met its limit. Does the typical washer method resolve this? Is there another fix?

Have not had this problem with a SR before but would think that your idea is worth a try as it has worked on Fenders. Would also suggest that you use a reasonable amount of tension on the truss rod.

Please contact EBMM Customer Service before messing with such a classic. They will tell you what to do for sure, but they won't be open for business until Monday.

loosen the strings, loosen the rod, pull the neck into backbow, tighten the rod while the neck is in backbow, restring. doesnt always work depending on how far gone the neck is, but ive salvaged a few necks that seemingly werent going to set up to my liking by doing that.
