Hey,

I have a problem with my Pre-EB Stingray (built end of 1978/ beginning 1979): The neck is not straight enough, but the truss rod-screw is not working anymore. I´ve been to the workshop here in Germany, but the luthier told me that there is no other screw fitting in, so I would need an original one. Is that the truth? And if so, where might I get an original one in good condition? I already wrote an eMail to the EB-Customerservice (well, I had to try it:)), but of course they didn´t have any in stock anymore. THANK YOU for any information!

Andreas

P.S. Sorry for my english;-)

are you referring to the hex truss rod nut?
if so, I believe the Pre-EB part is identical to the bullet truss rod nut that Fender used.
if this is indeed the part you're looking for you can find it easily on almost any guitar parts site.

thats how it looks:
