The Luke is just wonderful. Can't stop playing it. Took a while to get my setup sorted and ended up doing it myself after the pro sorted the fret buzz but set the action too high and the trem completely flat
Not in a rush for the Axis yet as I just love the Luke to bits. And no, don't miss the lack of a piezo
Can't believe how versatile it is though. It really can do absolutely everything
Hard getting these buggars just right. Especially with all the rain we're getting.
My new Albert neck was shifting more than a 60 year old with 'roids. It was perfect the first 2 days, just freakin perfect. then the rains, then a string change down to 9's, then it was buzzin more than Paris Hilton on a video shoot.
Jon offered to fix it, but I ended up taking it locally yesterday. Jon's already "taken care of me" (not to be confused with Koogie's "taken care of me") a couple weeks ago and it felt dirty even thinking about bothering him again.
Besides, UPS never showed to pick it up, so I just took that as a sign from above.
He (Jon, not the one above) is so willing to help us, I feel bad even asking.

They said it would take 3-4 months to get a premium top and built it when I ordered my Axis SS with piezo/tremolo. It ended up taking only 6 weeks and the guy we ordered if from at Ernie Ball went and hand picked the top just for me. Of course this was almost 2 years ago. It's a great guitar and I love it!
You can do a search on my zigistar name and you will see the whole story and or just some pics of this premium top. The Neck plate is engraved with a "Custom made" logo on it as well.
Last i heard it was a 4 month wait, but that was last year, but i probably wouldn't look for no sooner than 3-5 months just to be safe, I ordered a trans red axis a year and a half ago with a premium top and it took 3 months to get it, of course that 3 months felt like 9 months, especially when it's on such an outstanding instrument !!!!!!!!!!!!
i love EB guitars (have 1 and 2 basses) and i want an axis w/ MM90s really bad. Its a shame that I cant walk into a store and just pick one off the wall. I figure searching the web for the right Axis will be quicker than the estimated 3+ months for an order
Not sure on the premium top, but when I have ordered anything, it takes at least 5 months as travelling across the Atlantic seems to add another month for some strange reason...
I called my dealer yesterday afternoon, and he said that EBMM had called him that morning: My baby is on its way! It should be here early next week.
My total wait time will be just about five months, which is in line with what they told me: three months for the guitar plus an additional one to two months for the premium top.
