Hopefully this is not taboo on the board, but what would you guys say would be a good price range for a used (non piezo) recent (1-2 years old) hard-tail ASS in mint condition? Thinking of picking one up via craigs or ebay and want to get the word for what's a good deal and what's not.

I don't think talking about used prices is taboo but I could be totally wrong...just shut me down if I am lol...Headstock is right on about average price...if you found anything less than that for an ASS in good shape I'd say you got a great deal.

I've seen them many times for as low as $750 on Ebay.

Yeah, that's why I was asking. I hope it's just the market. They're too amazing to be that low for any other reason! :)

Well, I ended up scooping up an ASS hardtail with the natural, all rosewood finish, for $749. The guy was 5 minutes down the road in suburban Minneapolis. Just when I started seriously looking too. I guess seeing the listing on craigs made me "serious" real fast, and it was exactly what I wanted. I feel good about the price. It's in pristine condition and still has the tape on the back plate. He said he played it for about 10 hours and I can believe it by how clean it is. He has 6 other EBMMs, so I guess they can't all get played.

It's sharp looking. Now, I need my amp etc. It's all in storage since I've been moving around so much.

I think the only pricing discussion that is taboo is street prices on new guitars. Used/craigslist/ebay prices should be cool.

Good deal on the ASS. $749 for a 1-2 year old model is a very sweet deal.
