Hi folks,
I know that I haven't been around for a long time but I wonder if I can be cheeky and ask a favour of you all. You were all so helpful when I wanted to buy a guitar... leading me to the purchase of my BFR Luke which is the best guitar I have ever played. Now I need some advice on wireless systems. Because I have the best guitar (in my opinion!) I want the best wireless system to compliment my rig... HELP!
Every manufacturer says that their product is the best, however I know that you all know what is what. :)
Thanks in anticipation folks.

it's not important....But if you really want to kn
the whole wireless thing is fairly subjective. i've pretty much used nothing but wireless for gigging for about 8 years now and yes there is a little bit of a difference in tone but, a little re-eq-ing you can pretty much get the same tone as you use with a cable. Personally i use a Shure SLX system which costs around £500 and is an awesome system, i haven't had any problems with it, you can change frequencies if you pick up any interference, and i've never had any bother with sound droppping out. It's definitely worth a look if your serious about getting a wireless, as is the next range up the ULX series.
If you want to go full on pro, then the Shure UR14 system which is a rackmount dual reciever unit and transmitter beltpack. It's probably the best system on the market, however it's an expensive system which in the shops costs around £3300.
I've also used AKG wireless systems in the past, however if you want a good AKG you need to be looking at some of the better higher spec ones, and not the really cheap fixed channel ones.

Nice one Lum,
I was looking on the Shure site at the UR4S and UR4D receivers so it's nice to know that I am looking at the right manufacturer. I'll check out the systems that you have mentioned. Thank you for helping me out mate, it's very much appreciated... cos' I know nothing about wireless gear at all.
