Hi all,

I bought a lovely teal green StingRay about 5 weeks ago (pics on request :) ) and I thought it would be a good idea to get a decent strap to go along with it. Fender have a neoprene one that takes up some of the weight for you - brilliant, thinks I, and orders one (I'm in Melbourne, Australia, so our online options are significantly lower than you US types).

Long story short, after 5 weeks the site I ordered from (www.musicianswarehouse.com.au) cannot source this strap for me. I'd appreciate it if anybody:

a) knows another Australian online site that stocks these straps (and can ACTUALLY DELIVER)
b) knows a US site that stocks them and ships internationally
c) is willing to take a risk and order one on my behalf and send it out to me!

Here's the critter:

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Paul, that's a Neotech strap, licensed to Fender so they can have their logo on it.

Lots of people stock those, including Musician's Fiend .

Do a Google search for "neotech bass strap" and you should be able to find someone who is either in Australia or will ship to you there.

Much appreciated, Jack!

I'll take some pics when I get home tonight. :)

Your search - "neotech bass strap" australia - did not match any documents.

Looks like the only place I can buy the mega strap online is Musician's Friend, and they won't ship to Australia.

Thanks, Mark! You use Comfort Strapp, don't you?

I'm 6'4" so I'm looking for something sufficiently long. I'll have to do some more Googling.

And here are some (bad, indoor) pics:

Good looking bass you have there. I would order some strap locks right along with the strap myself. No need to ever drop something that looks like that. IMHO

Just chiming in here! I recommend a nice padded leather strap (Levy's MSS90 comes to mind) instead of that neoprene thing. Those sproingy bouncy straps are kind of weird, if you ask me....which you didn't.....so I'll shut up now.

Note presence of "sproingy bouncy strap".

Note also that I have about ten leather straps and then say, "Hmm, wonder why he uses that sproingy bouncy thing?"

Once you get used to a Comfort Strap or the Neotech, it's hard to go back.

I understand completely...it also helps that you play a Boingo...er'...a Bongo.
