Hello ernieball forum.

first of all i do not live in the united states so its not easy for costumer service to really help me with this issue.

the input jacks on my guitar were having contact problems with guitar cables even with new ones, so a cousin who lives in the united states ordered for me a pair of new jacks directly from music man and sent them to me. i replaced the old ones with the new ones very carefully ,and im completely sure i didnt damaged the mother board. the problem was solved ,but after a few days it started to happen again.

im clueless ,and i really dont know what to do to solve this problem. i would heartly appreciate any help that you can give me.

thank you and sorry for my bad english

Hey, simply call or email customer service (or have your cousin do it), they're very helpful and they'll get you the right answers etc. . . . make the call and get it over with - easy!!

Yep, an email to CS is definitely in order. I would have a hard look at the cables you're using though- that seems a very odd thing to happen twice like that.

The problem is you ordered the wrong parts. They are OUTPUT jacks. :D

lol good joke lou.
i did send an email to costumer service and they told me the could not give me a remote diagnostic about the problem.
i read on the jpforum that WD40 would do the trick so i tried that and problem solved.
thanks for your replies

I had a similar problem on one of my guitars - I cleaned the contacts using a .28 calibre brass brush used for cleaning gun muzzles - so far so good.
