Hi all,

I have a less than 3 month old Luke 3 that was purchased from GC as a "old stock" item ( rosewood neck, boost is on the tone knob)

All of a sudden today the volume would cut in and out whenever I touched the volume knob or pickup slr tor switch. It eventually stop and seemed to be "normal" bu this is very concerning.

Would this have to be sent back to EBMM to be looked at? It my only guitar and I do t want to be without it for a ling time. Im all the way in Mass and I really don't want to ship it with how cold it's been

DRB, take it back to GC, since you bought it from, them. They should be able to get the piece from EBMM and do the replacement for you. Always go back to the seller first.

Where are you in Mass?

hello

i purchased in 2014 a brand new limited Luke II PDN green sparkle and had similar problem with the volume knob !!!

As i don't want to ship it again to my internet dealer, he sent me another pot. it was better but still not perfect with annoying strange noise that appears sometimes...

i have seen another member with also similar problem with a petrucci model...

i'm a little bit disappointed with my first music man...

Most likely just a loose solder joint. Just a bit of advice if it is not a newly purchased guitar, but a lot of you guys have to have small stores near you who have a tech or luthier with a great reputation who should be able to handle most of the miniscule issues in 5 minutes. I know your not supposed to take your guitar to anyone but an EBMM dealer, but the warranty is only for one year and a lot of guys come on with 5 to 10 year old guitars if not older with an issue.I honestly have never even mailed in a warranty card on any of my EB guitars and never needed a repair outside of a fret dress or re-fret.
