Help! Process to change pup selector option on JP6

Though I'm moving and rearranging my balls I'm wondering if anyone knows what I'd need to do to get the middle position on my JP6 pup selector to be coils 1&4 (parallel) instead of the factory setting of coils 2&3 (parallel). The JPX has this option and my ears like it much better.

Is it as simple as unsoldering a couple wires off the switch and then soldering the wires in a different arrangement? If it is this easy I may try to do it a bit down the road.

me thinks it can be done with a blade style super switch. I don't know if can be done using the standard 3 way switch. I agree Beej would be the man for this job.

Rotating the pickups will change the sound. I believe it's as simple as swapping the hot and ground wires from each pickup around. Those are the ones that are not soldered together at the switch: it should be the red and green for the bridge and the white and black from the neck, but I could be wrong. Calling DiMarzio would be the safest option.

Yeah, it's not too complicated a task. Basically moving a few wires around.
