I just acquired a used Axis. It's awesome. I was told that it was built for the NAMM show some years ago. Can you give me a production date and possibly any more info on it? I believe the color is called Trans Gold and the neck is a great cut of birds’ eye maple. Was this from the first year of the Axis?

Serial # G06675

Thanks,
Yrless

AXIS Tone Knob

It's not factory fit. The original owner liked the tone adjustment of the sport. The shielding and space is available in the body. Almost like they thought about adding them to the AXIS. So, it made a nice addition.

Here's what I've found out. Thanks to EB Customer Service for the help and research.

The first year of the AXIS was 1996.
This one was made in July of 1999 and It left the factory on August 11, 1999.
