yea the world has enough average rock bands...
Now don't get me wrong they had some great songs, but the music was sloppy. Kurt may have been a visionary but the man's gutiar playing was less then steller. (just my personal opinion)
I get irritated with the fact that people build kurt up more then they should. Rolling Stone called this man the 4th greatest gutiarist of all time  yet Eddie can barely make the top 50  and alot of gutiarist that should have made the list were nowhere to be found. The man killed himself cause he realized that he would soon be a wash-up like most of the other seattle bands are now. Which made his legend bigger then it should be. yup he killed himself but so did Danny Gatton <----- who's he? Do some research...

I hope I did not offend anybody

No, I am not offended in the least. We're all different and we have different taste/views/opinions. I can respect that...and also when you have the b**** to be honest enough to say what you really think.

I honestly don't think that Puddle of Mudd sounds like Nirvana (my personal oppinion). I also agree that Nirvana has been built up to be something that they're not. I don't think that Kurt killed himself because he was going to be a "has been, " but I do believe that he was killed by his own hands.

You mentioned Eddie. Would you be reffering to Eddie Van Halen? I ask because he was/is an excellent guitarist. I agree....many excellent guitarist/musicians have not gotten their due credit.

And back to Puddle of Mudd.....I like 'em because they sound good to me!

true

i respect your opinion very much i think that kurt is not one of the greatest guitarist of all time and it is bs that guitar gods like van halen dont get the credit they deserve eddie van halen is one of my favorite guitarits of all time next to clapton and hendrix and what u say is true nirvana is built up to be gods but they did change the sound of music and i think that u have a good taste in music and u respect great guitarists and musicians and i am glad that u responded to what i said i like talking music with people and no u did not offend me but i still like nirvana but i dont worship them but i do like their music and their sound rock on everyone

although i dont like puddle of mud i still respect them because they are musicians and writing music is not easy

I hear what you're saying dude! I think that Eddie Van Halen is one the BEST guitarist, along with Jimmy Hendrix and Eric Clapton. Angus Young is a good one also. And I do love Mark Tremonti. Is he one of the best....I don't know if I'd say that, just yet, but I think he rocks it pretty good.

I like Nirvana also, but I don't worship them either. Not many bands that I would worship. I associate "worship" with.....groupies! LOL! I don't know....I have never been the kind of fan that would throw my panties on the stage at the band and **** like that. Understand what I am trying to say?

And you're right! You have to give them some respect because it is hard writing music, and just being in that kind of business period. It's a tough business to be in.

Guitarist1239, I enjoy talking about the music also. You seem pretty cool. How about you do me a little favor. I think I'll make a post about one of my favorite bands and I hope that you will stop in and give them a listen and tell me what you think. They are an unsigned band...at the moment, but I'd love to hear what you think about this band. Look for my thread on LOGAN!

ROCK ON!

thanks everbody.

I'm glad I diden't piss nobody off. It's easy to sit behind a computer and talk crap... LoL

There are so many great musicians out there that never get there due.

I read in interesting story a while ago (it's probally fake) but a reporter who was looking into cobain's death was trying to say that his wife had someting to do with it. Something about him not wanting to play the lalapaloza tour. She was mad about him turning down however many million they was gonna pay.

Anyways... yea there is only one Eddie LoL

I read something about Kurt a few months back. Some folks were saying that they thought he was murdered and had been running their own investigation. They had posted a copy of the letter that Kurt had left behind upon his death. Reading that letter...it's quite obvious that he ended his life. But, as I read the letter...many things that he mentioned...I understood. It's like you see a little bit of yourself within the words.
