this is to you - the ernie ball crew....

had there been any color change on the purple sunset finish of the Y2D models lately?
i've seen a few pictures of newer Y2Ds and it seems to me, that the color now has much more blue in it as before.
did you modify the color to a more "blueish" look?
mine is more the classic purple to cream finish from the outside to the inside, but at the new Y2Ds it looks like a blue, purple, cream finish.

did you change anything?
thanks for clarifying it.

Joe I just brought one back from the US and it looks exactly the same to me. Although for some reason I can't explain the neck feels better and I'm serious.

colin, don't do this again!!!
please stop posting such nice guitars....it only causes GAS! :D

btw. yours was the second i've seen with this blue color in it.
today i found another one on evilbay and that one has even more blue burst than yours.
and what can i say....i felt in love....but i wanted to save my money for a (hopefully goes into production soon) chambered black burst Y2D.

What he said is good enough for me.

My experience is that purple is the hardest color to photograph.

+1

...I tried to take pics of my Trans Purple ASS, and depending on the type of lighting and the use of flash (or not) it can look anything between Trans Pink and solid blue.

....and you should trust Tommy anyway...who else, if not him ;)
