I'm receiving my 20th Ann. Silo today and have a few questions. I remember fingbeagles mentioning that this particular guitar may need a good cleaning and possible string change.
I don't know what fretboard it has, but regardless, what can I use to clean it (whether rosewood or maple) if it needs it?
Also, what strings were the 20th originally shipped out with. My personal preference on the EB skinnytop-heavybottom, but would rather just restring it with the originals so I don't have to make any adjustments.
Thanks,

Strings are RPSs 9s.
As for the neck I'd use Wonder Wipes.

One more thing - I used to use STHBs on all my guitars, but when I got my 20th and restrung it, the action was a little high due to the 3 lower strings not sitting completely flat in the nut. They were just a little too thick to sit all the way down in the nut. I thought about widening the nut and changed my mind. Threw on a set of RPS 10s and have never looked back. In fact, I ended up putting RPS 10s on all my guitars!

As for the neck - mine is RW so I used some Dr. Ducks on it - cleans it up very nice and conditions it well.

I have rosewood. I've just kept it clean and hadn't had to do much cleaning. I would just use the standard EB FAQ how-to on cleaning the neck. Lemon oil on the fretboard. Super diluted Murphy's Oil Soap on the back of the neck if it's really dirty. Birchwood Casey gunstock oil and wax, etc. Not sure about maple fretboard care, because I don't have any balls with maple.

Hey,

Hopefully they shined it up, the strings as Larry said are 9-42 RPS, since I use Super Slinkys did not have to worry about adjustments, also I hope you have received it by now and are playing and going WOW the formites are right, the fretboard on it is rosewood, I use the new Wonderwipe products. Will aslo clean the neck just use the fretboard conditioner and quickly wipe off the excess with a soft clean cloth, it was in great shape just a little TLC needed. Show us some pics:D
