I know I cant defy physics!

I have joined a new acoustic project with a drummer and acoustic (sometimes elec) guitarist who is the main vocalist.

Just three of us, and they have lots of experience.

I am looking at either:

Nice quality combo (must have a nice tweeter, not keen on piezo) - 1x12.

OR

High quality 1x12 cab and use an existing amp.

Im thinking either Markbass, Genz Benz, or Gallien.

The Gallien MB combos are super cheap....but....are they good?!

The Genz 1x12 Shuttle 6.0 combos are the most expensive.

Ideas?!

Thanks

I like the Genz Shuttle 6 combo myself. Plus the head comes off if you want to use it with another cab setup. Very light, loud and versatile. Nothing else like it.

Can't say enough good things about my GK 112 MBE - great chorus and I particularly like the stereo DI out. Extension cab option too.

I gotta agree with ivbenaplayin....
i've tried markbass Little mark tube + 4x10 cabs. God that had ****load of volume. I've never seen that much:) also the sound was pretty warm and bassy :)) i think that's your way to go.

AER Amp One; 200W of pure beautiful tone and power. I still have yet to play through an amp that I thought sounded better. Very pricey though.

Mesa Walkabout Scout 112 Combo
Mark Bass CMD112P
Genz Benz 6.0 12T

Special mention is the Ampeg B50r.. It doesn't have a tweeter but it is a hefty 112 and pack some serious tone!

This is the top 3 I can think off and it's in order of my liking.. :)

I must admit that I'm considering lately the same thing!

I'm a little bit tired of moving my rig (separate heavy amp head and pretty heavy 210 cab), so small 112 compact, but powerful bass combo will be the right solution!

My band got anyway pretty good stage monitoring system, so small quality combo could be right decision to me too!

I'm considering Mesa Walkabout Scout too (112), so as MarkBass CMD 112 P (as written above) too! MarkBass got better price and it's lighter than Mesa, but we do have problem here with MarkBass dealership...

I wasn't too crazy about the Piezo in my MB combo. I sold it and got me a LMIII head and a GK112.
