:( Seems it's done by Jack White and Alicia Keys. I've been on a Casino Royale kick lately so I visited the official Bond site to check out the trailers for the new one...

The theme song by Chris Cornell for the last one was great. It's a shame to hear this tune, I've gotta say. I'm sure the movie will still be good, but *sigh*...

Quantum Of Solace

I'd like to know what you guys think. I know the theme song by Madonna for Die Another Day was garbage; but the movie didn't really help it :D

Perhaps this is old news, but I didn't hear about it!

Nils, dude, I will drive the 4 hrs. to smack ya if you start messin' about Alicia!!

:p

I dig the track personally, I do think that the verse has more of a hook than the chorus and that they should have "hi-fi"d the vocals in the chorus to contrast the lo-fi sound of the verse, but aside from that, I kinda dig it. and the video...... Alicia Keys is in the video, how can it be a bad video ? :D

I do agree that Cornells song was better (big soundgarden fan here).

But, I actualy really like this song! But then i'm a sucker for a moody run down. I like the way it's typically bondesque at the start with bangs! and horns! and pezazz!, and then it quietens, and lets the bass (I know it's not a bass-but him playing guitar with an octave pedal) breathe with that moody run down.

I like the minors Keyes puts in on the piano as well. Oh, and the way she relays Jack's solo back to him as a vocal. I thought that was quite clever.

All in all, I like it. It's one of the better ones. But let's face it-nothing will beat Live and let die!

:D
