Just curious about his shipping method....ebmm hardshell case wrapped in brown paper shipped UPS ground. I'm not interested in the bass (though I do plan on checking out a Sterling here pretty soon), I've just never seen anyone ship a bass like that. Opinions?

My thought is that UPS is very shoddy on the care of the packages that they're shipping, so I would expect that the bass would be damaged if shipped this way. Am I wrong?

I would worry more about the case than the bass. If I were considering buying this bass, I would ask the seller to go to a music store and get a box made for guitars. I am sure the paper he wraps it in will be torn to bits.

Jon,

That's what I was figuring, that the case would be pretty beat up upon arrival, and would probably arrive sans the brown paper wrapper (bass porn?).
