Hope that some lucky owner of a JP15 answer my question

On my JP6 if batteries go dead, it still sounds but piezo will not work
On my Majesty (what a great guitar!) if batteries go dead, it will not make any sound neither through piezo nor regular magnetic pickups... suppose it is because of the booster circuit.

Do you know if batteries go dead on a JP15, it will behave as the majesty, that is, no sound at all?

Yeah I have a JP6 and the mags work even with a dead battery. I think that has changed since there is no separate input now for Mag and Piezo. The guitar sound dies if the batteries are dead. Must carry spares all the time :(

The JP13, Maj, and JP15 all have an active preamp - so yea, when the batteries die, you will get no sound from the guitar. In addition, as the batteries are dying, you will lose clean headroom.
