Hey all,

I need some educating...

I am not familiar enough with the compensated nut used on my bass to know if I can change string gauges (go up) without having to enlarge any slots that might be on the nut...this is a new beast for me...I'm used to slotted non-compensated nuts...

Can one change gauges up and down without worrying about slot width/depth on these types of nuts?

To my knowledge and experience so far I've been able to go up to power slinkys without having to do anything to the nut.

I would have to assume that EBMM would not design a nut of this type without considering the available EBMM string sets.

That being said, I wonder what is the largest possible gauge that each individual string could be? Can anyone from EBMM enlighten?
