Question about Cutlass and Caprice

Can the Caprice get the same classic P tone from the split coil as the Cutlass? Or does the Cutlass stronger in this respect?

I'm looking to buy a new bass, and that tone is my most important criteria, but if I can get that and also a bit of flexibility from the single coil that would be awesome.

Hi Miseria,

Welcome to the forum! The split single coils are different, Cutlass having a slightly rounder tone.
