So, The Stingrays are, for the most part, front loaded electronics. WOuld there be any sound difference to keeping everything the same, but changing the electronics to being back loaded? Just curious. Im also g uessing the front loaded idea was originally taken on for ease of construction?

Just curious to the history of this setup and how it can change things sonically.

The dual pickup Stingrays are back loaded. The control plate in the front is just for looks.

Hmm I'm not so sure about the SR5s. I'd guess everything's front loaded and under the pickguard.

IIRC, before the dual pickup models were introduced, the EB crew put up a poll about the control plate for the SR4s (the back routing was final by then methinks): Keep or not? Most voted to keep it, even just for looks.

As for how it'd affect sound, I guess there's a bit more wood routed out for the electronics and the extra pickups as well. I have no idea what that'd do to the sound tho, sorry.
