Hello Everyone,
My name is Joe and I just purchased an Ernie Ball Axis - natural quilt top in January. It was a rough few months waiting for just the right guitar
I absolutely love the guitar, it's everything I expected and more. I can really see why everyone speaks so high of Ernie Ball MusicMan instruments and products in general. This is my first time posting, but, I read the forums quite often and have learned alot from reading the various threads and messages. I've been playing guitar for almost a year after having not played for almost 12 years.
Moving on to my question, has anyone ever fixed the fret buzz using the fine tuners? I broke the high e-string yesterday and went ahead and replaced it, but noticed buzzing past the 12th fret. I tightened the fine tuner about 1/8 - 1/4 turn and all is well. I noticed that the saddles pivot on the tremelo block and I was thinking that it's possible the fine-tuner was out a little too much and perhaps the angle of the string sitting in the saddle was off by a hair, does this sound like a possibility? Does this sound crazy?
Please excuse me if this sounds a little silly. This is my first guitar with a Floyd Rose and actually my first "real nice" guitar in general.
The guitar was setup wonderfully at the factory and even checked over by the luthier at my dealer when I bought it. It's plays great and has nice, low action, I've only run into the one minor problem.
I've added an attachment, from what I understand, if there's no picture the guitar doesn't exist.
Thanks for your help and insight.
