Guys:

I just bought a JP7 in Walnut Burst (will post pictures at a later date). For some reason my high string action is extremely high. I lowered the bridge almost as low as it can go and it still doesn't seem right. Anyone have any suggestions how I can fix this. There are a bunch of other adjustments I know that can be made. The bridge looks out of whack. In other words if you look at the guitar from the brigde to the neck, the right side of the bridge looks higher than the left. The springs are same on my other JP7, but I don't have this problem.

BTW, I will be selling my other JP7, which is Mystic Dream, with all the options, if anyone is interested. I just bought it 2 months ago. Of course, once I laid my eyes upon the BFR Walnutburst, all common sense went out the window.

Thanks,

Jay

post a pic of the bridge. A picture is worth a thousand words. You might need to lower that side of the bridge.

Congrats Jay!

Usually the culprit is the truss rod which can need a small tweek. But since it's a brand new guitar I'd take it back to the dealer and get them to set it up right!

How would I lower it if turned the screw almost as low as it can go on that side? I'm talking about the bolt/screw on each side of the bridge (there are two).

Unfortunately I bought it at Guitar Center in Manhattan, which is not that easy for me to go back. To be honest with you most of the people there didn't seem to know what they were doing anyway. I'll bring it to a local MM dealer here where I bought my other JP7 and see if he can look at it. It doesn't sound bad, but just not as good as my other one.

Thanks.
