I don't know if this has ever been asked before, but last night i was admiring my Natural Axis and thought too myself where did the name Axis come from, who thought of it, what made them think of it, and does it mean anything, i apologize if this has been brought up before, but i was just curious.

I did a search (I guess u did the same) but I couldn't find a previous post about the name. I don't know, sounds like coming from axe, obviously. I lilke the name a lot, and I really would like to be reading right now that name on my own guitar, but I have to wait yet a few months... :(

It was originally the name of the all maple prototype guitar given to Albert Lee, though I have no idea why it was called 'Axis'. Maybe someone can shed some light on it.
