hi there.. so i've owned about 5 or 6 other EB MM Axis guitars. I just got a killer AX40 in pink/purple last night. It plays and sounds great, but I noticed that the fretboard gets dirty quickly... like after 15 min of playing, i notice some darkness on the fretboard.
i took some 0000 steel wool and lightly buffed it out... but I can see this getting annoying pretty quick.
don't get me wrong, i know a dirty fretboard looks cool at time, but this is totally different. this never happened with my Axis guitars. anyone know why?
anyway, i checked out the EB MM website and it said to treat the fretboard with Birchwood-Casey Tru-oil and Birchwood-Casey Gunstock Wax. has anyone done this? how did it work out for you?
i don't mind if the discoloration continues, but i at least want it to take a little bit longer than 15 min of playing to happen.
thanks in advance.
