So I am not a fan.....but I am a fan of yours....I would like a chili dog

My Sheryl Crow story is funny I finally met her a few years ago...She said "I met you before" It was 1991 or so and I was a waitress and I thought that it was cool when I saw the Ernie Ball Credit Card.....I like her because she likes east bound and down

So why is it that touring musicians are considered a lower class of musician than the studio guys?

Doesn't Tony Levin do both? (albeit, not in Nashville)

In all seriousness, and excluding Tony Levin ands thousands of other amazing touring musicians, I think it might have something to do with the longevity of the performance. I mean, we'll be able to scrutinize every note Craig plays on the new LA album, but the average live performance is more of a here & now thing. Not saying Craig wouldn't be an amazing touring bass player, but I do think LA can find someone a lot cheaper that the live audience will be happy with.
