Hello,

I'm the new proud owner of a Ghost in the Shell BFR Albert Lee. But, after playing with it the
1st night I got it, something weird happened....

The tip of the tremolo bar came off! I wasn't abusing it, I swear.

I see threads on the end of the bar itself, but not on the inside of the tip.
Was it glued on? How would I go about fixing it?

Both the bar and tip don't look damaged, so I don't think I need a whole new one.

I suppose I could either glue it or wrap some electrical tape on the
of the bar to make it fit snug. But, this is a BFR and might deserve
a little more... respect.

Any thoughts or opinions on my next course of action are appreciated.

Thanks for reading,

Scottie, congrats on that new BFR! EBMM released both the Ghost in the Shell Albert Lee and the Carmelo Valentine in the same season-- both are so beautiful and if I had the money for one of those two, I'd never be able to decide. I think I'd have to flip a coin.

Make sure you post some pics of your Ghost in the Shell and tell us how it plays and sounds. How noisy is it with overdriven sounds? I got my first P-90 guitar this year-- a Yamaha Revstar-- and I love it and the new tones I can get-- but I'll say that with any gain, the pickups can have more hum than even my Strat. So I wonder how well the silent circuit works on P-90s.

Also, how's that all rosewood neck feel? I've never played one. People say they love them-- I can't imagine how anything could feel better in the hand than the standard EBMM roasted maple neck with the gunstock oil and wax. Doesn't seem possible.

Hope you get the issue with the trem bar sorted out.

Fabulous guitar! I thought that was one of the best finishes they've done in years. They should do more!

If you bought the instrument new, you can get in touch with Customer Service and they'll fix you up. But tremolo arm tips are cheap and easy to find. Or you can buy a new trem arm from Music Man via the online store (see link below). Personally, I'd just glue the tip on and be done with it. A little super glue or epoxy should do it.
