on his #1........ steve keeps his pickups lowered to where the pickup covers are almost flush w/ the pickguard. he likes as much room as possible to reach under the strings w/ his plucking and picking. the output is also less this way.....but the clairity is better. it really suprised me the first time i saw it.
and........steve will never die !!!!!!!!!!

Those p/up heights I gave out in the earlier post are from Steves guitars, and they all leave the factory like that.

only #1 is set that low......the others are pretty much as dudley set them.

First off, I am the guy who builds up the artists guitars. Morse included. They are all set up with the p/ups at the height mentioned earlier. They are given to Dudley to check out before they ship out to Steve, but the p/up height is not changed. All the production Morse's are set up the same way

Speakin' of SM, I was casually/randomly browsing on his site last nite and came across the info about the Livin' Loud project for the first time (I'm not a hardcore Morse fan like Kei...er....Harold, just an occasional listener who appreciates what he does).

OMG....for the unfamiliar: man, whatta jawdropper this is - it's basically Morse playin' Rhoads-era Ozzy tunes with the Ozz-man's rhythm section from that lineup!

The thought of such a combo woulda NEVER crossed my mind in a kajillion years. Plus, SM's playing was absolutely RIPPIN'. I dunno how this guy manages to keep a stable family life with all these projects and tours he juggles every year, much less simply being such a musical chameleon.

Worth a listen: http://www.livingloud.com.au

Hey Dougee,

Long time!. If you haven't cliked on his link yet he's doing 8 cali dates including
JAN 20 Key Club LA
JAN 21 Sycuan Casino in El Cajon
JAN 22 Coach House San Juan Cap.

I'm going to these.

I think he's doing the 19th in Ventura and if you're the vacationing type, the 23rd in tempe, AZ (grand canyon and sedona and Steve would make a damn good trip) I'm thinking of doing that one too.
