If I remember correctly this run had jumbo SS frets. For those of you that have an Axis from this run, how are the jumbo frets when compared to the regular Axis frets (meaning the size)?

Really interested in the new run as I am craving an Axis with SS frets, just not sure how it will compare to my current Axis (which is one of my favorites). For those with more than one Axis, how hard was the adjustment going to the jumbo frets as opposed to the regular size frets on the Axis?

The AL has the same specs for frets, and to be honest, I don't notice any difference going back and forth between my Neptune PDN and regular ALs.

I agree with above, not a noticeable size change from one standard axis to 2012 and 2014 runs... I do prefer the SS frets... Less bending resistance, virtually zero wear. You will not be disappointed!!!

I have the Neptune Blue semi hollow Axis Supersport. I do, in fact notice a slight difference in the actual size of the frets. However, the ease and smoothness of ss frets compensates nicely over the size. Does that make any sense???

I guess what I was trying to say was, the jumbo stainless frets are jumbo. But, they are so smooth, "size doesn't matter". Bottom line, it's an EBMM. I transition from Axis, to Silo Special, to 25th, to PDN with almost no noticable difference.

Find a good luthier who does SS refrets, and you can get any of your guitars refretted with stainless. My former 2012 PDN ASS had SS frets, my first with stainless, loved them. Now all my guitars get SS re-frets if they don't come from the factory with SS, most guitars don't.
