Yah man I already talked to the guy lives 1 state above me. That's an early Silo Special, that was one of the first EBMM's I ever picked up and fell in love with the neck.

For a used piece it looks like it's in pretty good shape and the price is right. Blast him an email and make him an offer, you never know. Especially since nobodies even bid on it yet.

Are Grover's original to a Silo Spec??

Thanks for the info. Wonder how many EBMM geetars out there have Grovers fitted from the factory?

I used to have one of those in pearl green. Those are locking mini rotomatics. That version of the Silo also had a Wilkinson bridge. I like the musicman trem better. I had problems with the saddles rattling on the Wilkinson and buzzing. That is actually the same bridge that is on the Andy Timmons Ibanez guitar too.

I think those early Silo Specials were the only EBMMs to ever get locking Grovers and the Wilkinson bridges - I believe all the other EBMMs with trems in that era had the EBMM licensed Floyd Rose bridge.

Again, if I'm remembering correctly the EBMM vintage trem/Schaller locking tuners debuted when the Axis Sports were originally released, and the Silo Special changed over to that hardware at the same time (circa 1996 maybe?).
