Question on the Big Al Pickguards

So I just sent my Big Al to SLO to have it looked at for what I presume to be a grounding issue and noticed something on the Big Al page on the Website that caught my eye. Are the pickguards actually aluminum lined? I ask this because mine was not when I removed it to inspect my electronics.

Mine was not aluminum lined. I have removed it once to make one of the button holes slightly bigger.

I guess it was just a mistake on the Website then. Although, you think it would make sense to have some type of shielding on the pickguard since it covers the control cavity.
