I was just wondering why some used EBMM Axis guitars for sale on ebay are going for the same price as a new Axis, say at Musicians Friend? This doesn't make any sense.

Thanks.

Oppie,

I know we're really not supposed to talk prices here, however, let me just say this; Musicman Guitars (like any other extremely fine product) holds it value considerably well!!!!!:)

Oh, and stick around the forum!

I can tell you that's not the case in the UK, where the Axis sells for WAAAAAAY less on Ebay than it does in the shops, making it (IMHO) absolutely the very best value in s/h guitars on the market. There may be a glut of them on UK Ebay over the last few months, so that prices have been incredibly reasonable for what is a very, very good guitar.

I bought one just before Christmas simply because, at the price that was being asked, it seemed like a crime not to. I didn't need it - I have great guitars already - but i couldn't resist. Many on this Forum do the same - its called GAS. Did the same with a Luke also. Especially stupid for me since 90% of my playing is steel-string acoustic, but EBMMs are great guitars.

Cheers,
Steve
