I come from italy and here is not arrived jet any HH ray.
I want to ask you if the sound with the switch in both bridge coils positions is THE SAME of a 1 H ray. Thanx for answers

thanx a lot guys, i think that i'll go to my music shop to order a sr4 HH natural , maple black pg, or maybe honeyburst matching headstock maple and white pg... any suggest?
Only a question about the finish, matching headstock on a natural is a waste of money?

just a pleasure...
is possible to anyone post some soundsamples (slap and fingerstyle) of the 5 different switch positions on a ray HH with the same samples on a ray4 mono H?
The sr5 sound it's slightly less Full and punchy of the 4 strings version right?

Hey! Ciao Italia!

You will not regret a SR 4-HH, believe me!
I tried one in a store, played it on the same Ampeg amp. that I use, and
fell in love madly, so much that I placed an order for one.
(tobacco burst, RW, matching head, a real beauty!) you can find pictures of one
here if you search (ask the Dudepit).

In any case, welcome to the world of Music Man basses! I started with one, a
SR5, and now have 3 of them, LOL :D

Well I got a Ray-5 as well, and I love it, I know I would regret it dearly if I sold
it! :( The SR4 HH is a tone monster, but you find often enough that you just
need a five string for certain songs.

I know these things are not cheap, but they are a fine investment, as you can
see on here, when you need to sell one, they go very fast, and they dont loose
much value. And it is always with some kind of regret that someone sells his
Music Man bass

ah - that depends on your prefeneces ... personally, I dont like the matching headstock (they scare me). But as far as the upcharge for a natural or busrt finish ... well, ive purchased MM basses that have that option before and I think that if you like the finish you're paying for then its worth it.

also depends on what kind of guy u are. if youre one of the "this is my one bass that I'll always use and will continue to use for years to come" then I think the upcharges are definately worth it if that's what u like
