i just purchased a EBMM Sterling bass. Does it have it's own fitted case, or will a generic MM case work? the Sterling's body is smaller than the Stingray.
thanks Frank

I believe it should come with a case, stingray came with a case that is fitted for it, but I believe it's also fitted for a Stingray5.

Is it a new bass?

The latest cases are fitted for certain basses - the Classic Collection Ray I just bought has a case with a StingRay/StingRay5 badge on it, and people have posted pics of Big Als in a specific case. So I'm guessing it would have a Sterling/Sterling 5 badge/fitting????

Earlier ones have a generic case which is used for all basses, I think - not sure of the dates but probably from the late 90s until quite recently.

It used to be that there was one case for SR4 and SR5 and a different one for Sterlings. Don't know what it is now.

Can I sneak a case question in here? I have a 01 SR4 I bought new and an 85 I bought with a none original case which is a musicman case and identical to the case with my 01 only it's just a tiny bit longer, I take it this is made to also fit an SR5? the couple extra inches make it hard to throw it in the front seat of my Ranger when I'm heading to a practice.
