Hi, I didn't know where to post this thread, so moderators please move it to where you see fit.
I have a couple of questions regarding the EB Wonder Wipes that seem important for me and might well be the difference between buying some or all of them.
Aside for EB staff who I hope can answer some of my questions, anyone else feel free to answer from experience or add your own concerns to this thread.
These are my questions:
1)Will the String Cleaner work on violin strings? Specifically synthetic strings with metal (aluminium or silver) winding.
1.1)Will they remove rosin residue as well as sweat?
1.2)Will the formula in them react badly with gut core strings? I don't use gut core but it would be good to know anyway. FOr example, alcohol is not recommended to clean gut strings, but I'm not sure if they talk about wounded strings with gut core or just plain gut strings.
1.3)Does the chemicals in the String Cleaner contain alcohol or any other solvent than may damage a violin body's finish if it dropped into it?
That's it with violins, I'm not dumb enough to try the other WWs on a violin
2)What WW should I be using on the unfinished maple part of my EBMM guitar? I'm guessing it's the fretboard conditioner, right?
3)Would Wonder Wipes be retained by an airport's baggage security for containing any chemical formula? I'm serious about this question, has it happened to anybody?
