Questions bout EBMM axis neck

Hi I have a lovely amber EBMM axis guitar. The neck is straight but there are bumps alogn the high registers(17th fret ownwards) such that when I try to bend the 17tH up a whole step. it hits a dead note. How do i solve this problem without using heat treatment to dry out the neck?

It sounds like it needs to have the frets leveled and re crowned

there is swelling along the neck at the end there is nothign wrong with the frets. A fren told me to remove the strings, loosen the truss and let the neck sort itself out according to the surrounding temprature.

releveling the frets would probably solve the dead notes
but how does one smooth out the bumps? sand the neck as well?

I would have to see the neck. I'm not really sure what you mean about the bumps. Is there any way you could post a pic of the neck?

Hi jon, I could use my digi cam to take a few pics n post them now. But wad angle would u prefer the shots? the whole neck? Im assuming just the joint part (tongue area) and from the side or the top?

And one more qn Jon if u don't mind, is it possible to use an orignal floyd rose in place of the musicman floyd?

oh yeah Jon what I mean about the bumps is actually called humps? Caused by swelling at the glue? because of that the fretboard is uneven now. that's why I hit a dead note when I bend the strings I guess. But the neck is straight.

Whatever angle you can shoot that would show me the humps on the neck. I am not sure if the other Floyd Rose will fit. If the space between the 2 pivot bolts are the same it might work, although I am not positve.
