I've wanted to buy a Stingray bass for a while now. I've played one and think they sound/feel great. Well since I have a full time job and some money I can't think of a reason not to get one.

The only question I have is on what type of wood I want on my neck.
I usually play rock, punk, funk but i'm not too worried about tone. I live in Minnesota so my main concern is the warping of the neck.

Does Maple or Rosewood warp less? Or is their not much of a difference?

Thanks for the input.

No matter which fingerboard you choose (maple or rosewood) the neck itself will be made of maple. So, there's probably little to no difference in the warp factor.

You are aware that 2-pickup versions of the Stingray will be coming out this summer, right? You might want to think about one of those babies!
