Thursday my friend said "Let's go see Eric Johnson tonight." It was in a small club (That's all we have here in Tucson) and about 150 people showed up. I really like Eric's style and chord changes. Most of all I just had to say that Eric Johnson is so easy to listen to.

My friend then told me that Eric was opening for Jeff Beck in Phoenix the next night. I called Darrell and asked him if he knew about it. Darrell said he would get me a ticket but I would have to pay for parking and buy him a beverage of his choice. Sounds fair to me. I have listened to Jeff Beck for years and now I finally understand understand why so many great guitar players list him as a major influence.

What a treat it was for me to see both of these shows.

A few years ago I spent a week in Austin. For my money, that's the best music town in America, considering what high level of musicians live and play there, in so many different genres.

Btw Norm, I've been gone for 20 years, but Tucson is my home town!
